It all began, as the best origin stories do, with a rule-breaker. Head distiller Jago — the heart and soul of Wicstun — was quietly experimenting with moonshine from his boarding school dormitory long before craft spirits were fashionable. That early curiosity never left him. When the time came, he channelled it into something extraordinary: opening the first licensed craft distillery in his hometown of Market Weighton, a medieval market town set against the gentle swell of the Yorkshire Wolds. A hobby had become a vocation, and a vocation had become an award-winning business.

Today, Wicstun Distillery is a proudly independent, family-run operation producing handcrafted gin, rum, vodka, and liqueurs in small batches — each one developed, distilled, and bottled by hand. The range is as broad as it is brilliant. Gin lovers are spoilt for choice, with aromatic dry gins built on botanicals like cardamom and coriander sitting alongside vibrant fruity gins — including a beloved Pink Gin bursting with strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.
